Privacy policy
Effective 12 October 2026. This policy explains how Helian, operating from Jalan Thamrin No. 88, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat, DKI Jakarta 10310, Indonesia, handles information when you read, search or contact this editorial website.
It is written for visitors in Indonesia and readers elsewhere. Helian is an informational publication, and this document covers the website, contact routes, cookie controls and ordinary editorial administration. It does not change any rights that apply under Indonesian law.
1. Scope
This document applies to Helian pages, forms, newsletters if introduced, and ordinary communications with our editorial desk. It does not govern websites linked from Helian or the independent practices of healthcare providers. By using the site, you acknowledge this explanation and may choose not to submit optional information.
A link may lead to a provider with different security, retention and privacy practices. We recommend reading that provider’s notice before entering information. The site is not intended for children to submit personal information, and visitors should avoid placing another person’s details in a message without permission.
- Website reading and search activity is handled for delivery, security and editorial measurement.
- Contact information is used for the request that caused it to be collected.
- Optional features remain separate from sensitive personal health information.
2. Information collected
Our server may receive an IP address, browser type, requested page, date and referrer for security and technical delivery. Contact forms collect the name, email address and message that you choose to provide. We do not request medical records, identity documents or precise health measurements through this site.
Technical information can include device operating system, language, approximate region and error details. These signals help identify broken links, unusual traffic and compatibility issues. We do not intentionally build a profile about a reader’s health interests from article visits.
3. Legal basis
We process technical logs because they help provide a secure service and troubleshoot failures. We use contact details to respond to a message when you ask us to do so. Optional analytics operate only where consent is recorded. We do not use sensitive health information for advertising profiles.
Where applicable, these purposes correspond to service operation, legitimate security interests, consent for optional measurement and steps requested before responding to an enquiry. You may withdraw optional consent through the cookie controls or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before the request.
4. Retention
Security logs are normally retained for 30 days. Editorial correspondence is kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful exchange so we can understand corrections and follow-ups, then deleted or anonymized. Aggregated readership statistics may remain without direct identifiers.
Deletion may take up to 30 days after a verified request, subject to backups that rotate on a normal schedule. Records needed for a legal complaint, fraud investigation or accounting obligation may be retained only for that purpose and then reviewed. Anonymized totals are no longer treated as contact records.
5. Your rights
Subject to applicable Indonesian law, you may ask what personal information we hold, request correction, ask for deletion, object to optional analytics or request an explanation of processing. Send a clear request to the editorial desk at the address in section 7. We may ask for enough information to confirm identity without requesting identity documents through an unsecured form.
We normally acknowledge a request within 7 business days and provide a substantive response within 30 calendar days. If a request is complex, we will explain the reason for additional time. You may also complain to the relevant Indonesian authority or seek independent advice.
6. Service providers and transfers
Helian may rely on hosting, form delivery, security and email infrastructure providers. They receive only the information needed for their contracted function, must protect it, and may process it in another country. We do not authorize those providers to use message content for their own advertising.
International processing can occur because internet infrastructure is distributed. We consider contractual safeguards, access controls and the provider’s published privacy terms before adoption. Linked services are separate controllers for information entered after leaving Helian.
7. Contact and revisions
Privacy questions, correction requests and complaints can be sent to Helian, Jalan Thamrin No. 88, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat, DKI Jakarta 10310, Indonesia, or by phone at +62 21 7891 035. Please identify the page or interaction involved and describe the outcome you seek.
We review this policy when our processing changes. Revision history: 12 October 2026, publication of this version. A later version will show its effective date, a short description of the change and the date it was posted. Continued use after a material update means the updated notice is available for review.
For practical clarity, Helian generally keeps server security logs for up to 30 days, contact correspondence for up to 24 months after the request is closed, and consent records for up to 24 months or the period needed to demonstrate a lawful choice. Longer retention may apply where a legal obligation, dispute, or security investigation requires it. Access is restricted to people who need the information for hosting, editorial administration, security or responding to you.
Where a service provider processes information for Helian, it receives only the fields and technical details needed for its assigned task. Examples may include a hosting provider, a transactional email service, a privacy-consent service and privacy-preserving analytics. These providers are expected to use contractual safeguards and to return or delete information when the service relationship or retention need ends.
Readers may ask what personal information is held, request correction, ask for deletion where no continuing legal reason applies, object to optional measurement, or request a copy in a usable format. Send a request to the editorial desk at Jalan Thamrin No. 88, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat, DKI Jakarta 10310, Indonesia, or call +62 21 7891 035. Data requests may also be sent to [email protected]. Helian uses Hostinger International Limited for hosting, MailerLite Limited for editorial email delivery, and CookieYes for consent preference management. These providers receive limited information only when needed for hosting, correspondence or consent records, and their roles are reviewed when this policy changes. We normally acknowledge a request within 7 calendar days and provide a substantive response within 30 calendar days, subject to identity checks and lawful extensions.
Some processing may involve infrastructure outside Indonesia. Helian assesses the receiving provider, limits the information transferred, and uses appropriate contractual or organizational safeguards. A transfer does not remove rights available under applicable Indonesian privacy law. If you remain dissatisfied, you may describe the concern in writing so it can be reviewed by the responsible desk and, where appropriate, referred to the relevant Indonesian authority.
Revision record: this policy was issued on 12 October 2026. A future material change will show a new effective date and a short explanation near the beginning of this page, while the prior wording may be retained in Helian's internal compliance records.
